We choose to do a Romeo and Juliet themed Spongebob because the characters fit together well. In order to do the Scene 4 Act I, my group needed a trio. Spongebob, Patrick, and Squidward fit the bill perfectly due to their dispositions. Since they are animated characters, it was hard to think of a way to make a costume for those characters. Thus, we decided to make puppets. For Patrick and Squidward, we clay-mated them. My group bought modeling clay and paint, and then we contructed them. For Spongebob, we found a yellow sponge and painted on his features. Then we took Shish kabob stick and stuck it in the bottom of the puppets. This completed our puppets.

Next, we needed a set. In the show Spongebob Squarepants, Spongebob, Patrick, and Squidward often spend time in their front yards. My group choose this for our set because in Scene 4 Act I Romeo and his friends are heading to a party. If Spongebob and his pals were going somewhere, they would start in their front yards. In order to create the set, we took a poster board, markers, and colored pencils to create the setting of Spongebob, Squidward, and Patrick’s front yard.
