Spongebob Theme Song( With Lyrics),2008,spongebobmusic1 Our group chose the theme Spongebob for our revision because it was fun and silly, and would still go with the script. Squidward was perfect for the part of Romeo because he is always depressed or upset, which is how Romeo is at the begining of the movie. Spongebob, a silly and excited sponge, is able to compare with Mercutio in many ways. Both Mercuito and Spongebob are passionate, goofy, and seek fun and adventure. Like Mercuito, Spongebob likes to have fun by being with friends and partying. Patrick was similar to Benvolio with his desire for peace and want to go to the party. In both "Spongebob" and Romeo and Juliet there is an interesting trio of friends which also helped set our scene in the revision. |
Spongebob and Patrick are urging Squidward to go to a surprise party for Mr. Krabs, but Squidward is not in the mood. A recent painting of his has been rejected by a museum, and his heart has been broken. He has been depressed for quite some time, and even a party doesn't sound fun to him. Like Benvolio and Mercutio urging Romeo to go to a party, Spongebob and Patrick are doing the same with Squidward. Squidward is usually depressed or annoyed with his neighbors, but the dejection is too much for him. Romeo is also feeling distressed and perturbed when he realizes Rosaline doesn't love him. So both are being coerced into something they dont want to do by their friends. While Spongebob, Patrick, Benvolio, and Mercutio all want to go to a party to enjoy themselves, they also want their friend to go to get their mind off of things and enjoy themselves also.
